CHREF provides annual scholarships to students at Colorado State University (CSU) and Front Range Community College (FRCC). Scholarship amounts are determined on an individual basis but have ranged from $1,000 to $5,000 for CSU and $500 to $1,500 for FRCC.

Candidates are assessed on Colorado horticulture industry experience and exposure, involvement in horticulture clubs and activities, commitment and to Colorado and the ornamental horticulture industry, and an overall impression. Scholarships are awarded annually, with applications typically being due in late November for CSU, date TBD for FRCC.
